General Questions

Alfred

I have installed the new V2 update, and when i enter
quotes I receive the error "Key 'Line Sell' not found" or similar

To fix this issue:

  • Open 'My Computer' then navigate to the drive Alfred is installed to (usually c:\)
  • Navigate to the Alfred installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\Clipsal Australia\Alfred 2006)
  • Locate the file 'AlfredPlatinum(.ini) and double click it. This should open the file in Notepad or similar.
  • Next locate the 4 lines:

    SearchColumns=........(Column details here).........
    QuoteColumns=........(Column details here).........
    OutputColumns=........(Column details here).........
    JobLotColumns=........(Column details here).........
  • Delete these 4 lines (but do not change anything else)
  • Save the file
  • Restart Alfred

The error will no longer occur.

If you would like further assistance with fixing this error, please contact the Alfred Support Desk at alfred@clipsal.com.au or phone 1800 806 668 between 9am to 5pm (CST), Monday to Friday.

Does the new Alfred support 64Bit operating systems?

At this time Alfred does not support any 64Bit operating systems. Clipsal is investigation the compatability issue, and may create a working update in the near future.

Does the new Alfred work with Windows Vista?

The Alfred eCatalogue V2 upgrade adds support for Windows Vista 32Bit, but Alfred must not be installed to the 'Program Files' directory. e.g.

Just install Alfred to something like 'C:\Clipsal\Alfred 2006' and let the program download the latest updates from the internet.

Does the new Alfred support Windows 98/ME?

The new Alfred eCatalogue provides advanced functionality and future compatability that is only supported by Microsoft's 'Currently Supported' operating systems.

Unfortunatly Windows 95/98/ME are no longer supported by Microsoft.

Clipsal strongly suggests all users upgrade to a Microsoft supported operating system. Please see this link for further information:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/support/endofsupport.mspx

Unsupported Installation

Clipsal can supply details of a installation method in these operating system, but cannot guarantee success.

Please contact 1800 806 668 for more information.
