Wingfield

Clipsal Australia established its third satellite factory, Wingfield Fasteners, in 1989.

The Wingfield site was renovated and refurbished in 2007 to allow for the transfer of metals component manufacturing from the Bowden site. The Wingfield Manufacturing Site, which is Quality Assured to ISO 9001, occupies 1,500 square metres, located on a one-hectare block and is staffed by more than 120 employees.

The new Wingfield Metals plant is primarily responsible for supplying metals componentry into Clipsal's major products. The majority of components made at Wingfield are distributed to the Assembly centres in Gepps Cross and Strathalbyn for final assembly into finished product. The Wingfield site also completes export orders for other Clipsal and Schneider Electric companies. Along with the componentry for Clipsal's products, Wingfield also produces a range of metal finish covers for the 2025 range as well as manufacturing stainless steel specials to provide for our unique customer needs.
