A simple solution to the longstanding problem of using electricity near water, Clipsal’s IP66 2000 Series and C2000 Classic switches are designed specifically for the restricted zones of kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and other wet areas, where both safety and aesthetics are important.

Their hardwearing, UV stabilised, polycarbonate surface also makes them suitable for a wide variety of outdoor areas, such as carports and pergolas.

There are four options in each of the 2000 Series and C2000 Classic weatherproof range – a single and twin switch, available in horizontal and vertical formats.

A unique waterproof membrane between the switch dolly and mechanism, together with a low profile neoprene gasket ensures a consistent IP66 rating when installed on a suitable surface.

These barriers guarantee safety when the switches are used with wet hands or installed near sinks, basins, taps and shower areas, where space is limited such as en suites, laundries and bars.

Note: Clipsal IP66 rated switches have been designed to achieve IP66 on a smooth, flat, non-porous surface. Care should be taken when mounting to ensure that water cannot bypass the perimeter gasket and come into contact with live parts.

2000 Series gridplates and surrounds can be mixed and matched to complement any décor and are available in four standard colours – White Electric (WE), Cream (CM), Desert Sand (DS) and Soft Grey (SG).

C2000 Classic gridplates and surrounds can be mixed and matched in the six standard colours – White Electric (WE), Cream (CM), Desert Sand (DS), Soft Grey (SG), Black (BK) and Brown (BR). Metal C2000 Series covers are available to add a touch of class in the following colours: Brushed Aluminium (BA), Brushed Brass (BB), Chrome (CH), Gold (GD), Gun Metal (GM) and Stainless Steel (SS).

The C2000 Classic also offers a range of identification covers and label kits in each of these styles and colours.

For a neat finish, snug fitting gaskets fit unobtrusively behind the gridplate.
