GX opens its doors to employees’ families
A bright and sunny Clipsal Staff Open Day welcomed more than 800 employees and family members on Saturday, August 8.
Ready to greet them were an army of volunteers equipped with sausages, balloons and Chubba Chubs. Throughout the day visitors made their way through the main office and factory areas to see exactly where their family members spend their working day.
The factory proudly displayed the many products manufactured within the plant including electronics, Industrial office, Moulding areas and more. Family members showed genuine curiosity in the site and the products manufactured.
“The factory is a very impressive facility, said Peter Colangelo, father-in law of Alex Beltrame in Communications. “They think of everything to make things as efficient as possible. I can see the company invests a lot of money to do that.”
Samuel Beltrame, aged six, who visited the entire site, said his favourite moment was sitting in his dad’s chair and receiving his free lollie pop. His brother Christian, aged nine, enjoyed visiting the factory where all the components were made. “I thought it was very interesting,” he said.
Jenny Callaghan, mother of Jodie Hansen from Communications was in awe of the main office. “It really is a fantastic building. You have to be very happy with it.”
Channel 10 News also came down to cover the story and interview Executive General Manager, Damien Cummins. Damien praised the turnout and said everything about Gepps Cross was a great consolidation of the plant and office. “It’s great that we are all together.”
The Executive and Human Resources teams would like to thank all the staff volunteers for their outstanding efforts in preparing the office and manning the factory and food stalls. The day was a great success.
