A key part of Clipsal Communications, the Writing Team is responsible for generating and responding to the advertising and media communication needs of Clipsal Australia.
The Writing Team currently consists of a Media Manager, Senior Writer, Copywriter, Publications Coordinator and Technical Proofreader.
Concepts & copy
The Writing Team creates the copy and many of the concepts for all trade and retail brochures, promotions, ads, case studies and videos. Much of the work produced by Clipsal Communications begins with a brief to a writer. The writer will then liaise with art directors, layout artists and graphic designers to achieve the client’s desired goals.
Media buying & releases
Media buying and planning is another function provided. This involves liaison with media representatives and preparation of effective advertising schedules, ensuring ads are delivered on time and gets the most out of available budgets. The media role also encompasses news releases and product information for publication in press, trade, retail publications and the company’s website.
Video production
The Writing Team also undertakes video production. This includes script writing, editing, costing, talent finding and supervision of filming and post production. These videos can vary from corporate productions and television commercials to simple product installation videos.
Publications
The Writing Team produces numerous newsletters and magazines including: Clipsal Christmas Connection, Club Clipsal International Connected, Input Ultra Terminal Newsletter, Demand the Brand Newsletter and more. These are managed by the Publications Coordinator who researches, writes and prepares all articles for publication.
Proofreading
The Writing Team performs a vital proofreading role. The team implements a two writer checking system for all written promotional material. Technical literature such as labels and installation manuals are checked by the department’s technical proofreader. The technical proofreader also ensures that the correct standards and catalogue numbers are updated and consistent across all printed literature.
Please visit the “Meet the team” section and contact the Writing Team for any of the above needs.
